THE SITE OF RECONSTRUCTION OF HERMIONE : 

Since 1997, carpenters, blacksmiths , carpenters and other craftsmen working to rebuild in the same Hermione famous  » Commander 12  » ( cannon balls equipped with 12 pounds ) to use Lafayette to win the America in 1780.
Crossing the Atlantic to the United States is planned for 2015.

Rest of year 10am-12.30pm , 14h-18h
Guided tours ( 1:15 ) – hosted by comedians tour in July and August .

ROYAL ROPE : 

Built by Colbert in 1666, this building 374m long used to assemble son rope made with hemp for large warships. Completed in 1670 provides all the rope navy ropes until the revolution.
The International Center of the Sea offers a maritime theme exhibitions and a permanent exhibition on the cordage and ropes .

Hours: April to September: 10h to 19h , the rest of the year 10am-12.30pm , 14h-18h .
Combined ticket with the site of the Hermione.

FERRY BRIDGE : 

Here is the last transporter bridge in France. You go on a journey and 4 min 30 seconds! This is the time needed to span the Charente between Rochefort and Echillais . Testimony of the art of metal construction in the late nineteenth century, the Martrou transporter bridge was designed and opened in 1900. It will carry in his pod people, animals and vehicles until 1967.
